The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs shelters lost or homeless dogs and cats, returning lost pets to their owners and finding adoptive homes for orphan pets. Low cost spay/neuter programs and dog training classes are also available.
Adopting a Friend
The adoption fee is $75 per dog and $30 per cat, which includes spaying or neutering and all inoculations except rabies. Puppies or kittens will need additional boosters. Volunteering and Donations
We have an active group of volunteers at both the Humane Society Shelter and the Humane Society Thrift Store. Shelter volunteers work with animals, walking dogs, socializing puppies, petting and socializing cats. Thrift Store volunteers sort and tag merchandise for sale. The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs is open Monday through Saturday from 10AM—5PM; Sundays from 10AM—4PM.
Directions from the intersection of Highway 160 and Piedra Road: The Humane Society Animal Shelter is located about 1.6 miles from Highway US 160. Follow Airport Signs. From US 160, turn north on Piedra Road (also known as CR 600) after 1.2 miles, turn East on Cloman Blvd (Airport signs too) on Cloman, after .4 miles, turn right into the Shelter.
