You can now visit with some of our feline friends at the new PetSmart in San Luis Obispo! PetSmart is housing around ten of our adoptable cats so that they have a little more exposure and a better chance at finding a new home. Drop by and visit them today!
Who We Are
Woods Humane Society is a private nonprofit organization that has been servicing the homeless animals of the San Luis Obispo county since 1955. The Society is a limitted admissions facility, accepting only owner relinquished cats and dogs for adoption.
Adopting a friend
Adoption Fees:
Dogs & Puppies $115.00
Cats & Kittens $115.00
Feline adoptions include: Spay/Neuter, Microchip & Registration, FeLV/FIV Test (4 months and older), Distemper Vaccination, Collar & Tag, Cat Carrier, Free Vet Health Exam, and one Complimentary Bag of Hill's Science Diet.
Canine adoptions include: Spay/Neuter, Microchip & Registration, Distemper/Rabies/Kennel Cough Vaccinations, County Lisence, Collar & Tag, Leash, Free Vet Health Exam, and one Complimentary Bag of Hill's Science Diet.
All adoptions stop one hour before close.

From HWY 1 turn on to Kansas Avenue, make a left at Oklahoma Avenue, the shelter is located at the end of the road, past the Sheriff's Department and Animal Services.
