MOLLY! Good Golly it's Miss Molly.....
This week Yuba County Animal Care Services would like you to meet
Molly. Molly is a female, white and black brindle Labrador Retriever and
English Pointer mix, ID # A109537. We are not sure on her age, but estimate she is
somewhere between one and a half and two years old. Everything to Molly
is fun, an adventure and meant for play, especially when it comes to playing
fetch. Molly just loves to run and chase anything you throw for her. She has very
nice manners and will sit patiently waiting for you to throw the toy again.
She is just an all around nice dog. Come by and see her at Yuba County Animal Care
Services, 5245 Feather River Blvd, in Olivehurst, or give us a call at 530-741-6478.
Molly will be sitting there patiently waiting to be adopted into a new “Forever Home”.

"MAKE MINE CHOCOLATE"
Each year, unwanted, former Easter rabbits fill local rabbit rescues and humane societies. The goal of the “Make Mine Chocolate!” campaign is to break the cycle of buying and surrendering by educating the public about the responsibilities involved in keeping a companion rabbit before a rabbit is brought home. The Columbus House Rabbit Society, is asking that this Easter instead of buying a real rabbit get a chocolate candy one. But if you feel the need to have a rabbit consider adopting one from your local animal shelter or rescue. Just like dogs and cats, rabbits are looking for their own "Forever Home" Go to the Columbus House Rabbit Society for more information on raising and caring for rabbits. www.columbusrabbit.org
Caring For Your Pet
Here are some helpful hints for responsible pet owners:
· Provide your new pet with proper and humane care, food, water, shelter, exercise and all other necessities.
· Provide your pet with veterinary care on a regular basis and if the animal becomes ill or injured.
· Keep the animal as a pet and companion. Don’t use it as a guard dog, fighting dog, for experimentation or any unethical use.
· Get your pet spayed or neutered to help reduce animal overpopulation.
· License your dog. Proof of a rabies certificate is required.
· Put an identification tag on your cat.
· Our Center scans all animals entering our shelter. We recommend seeing your veterinarian to have your pet micro-chipped as a means of permanently identifying your pet. Rest assured that if your pet is lost, scanning can help point the way home.
