Who We Are

The Humane Society of the North Bay serving Solano County in 1987.

Our mission is: 

To offer refuge, medical care, nourishment and an opportunity for a second chance for life to unwanted animals;

To protect animals from cruelty, neglect, carelessness and ignorance;

To foster a public sentiment of humanity and gentleness toward all animals through education and encouragement;

And to promote the lifelong commitment of responsible pet ownership.

The Humane Society offers:

  • Adoption of homeless animals,
  • Temperament evaluation of animals prior to adoption,
  • Necessary medical care for animals for adoption,
  • Micro-chip IDs
  • Low cost spay/neuter vouchers,
  • Licensing
  • Emergency Medical Care – for animals that would otherwise go without care
  • Cinderella Animal Food Program – feeds family pets on a temporary basis to keep animals with their families
  • Accepts animals displaced due to family hardships.

We are located at the corner of Sonoma Blvd and Solano Ave in Vallejo, CA. Humane Soceity of the North Bay, 1121 Sonoma Blvd., Vallejo, CA.  Open Tues-Sat 11am-5pm

Our Happy Tails Thirft Store, 1825 Springs Road, Vallejo, CA, proceeds supports the animals and program at the Humane Soceity of the North Bay . Open Tues- Sat 11am-5pm.
