PLEASE NOTE: Due to the fires and foreclosures in 2008, 100's of Dogs and Cats are being taken to shelters. There are days when 50 pets are turned in by their owners. That means the other animals get euthanized more quickly. PLEASE LOOK IN YOUR LOCAL SHELTERS FOR WONDERFUL DOGS & CATS THAT HAD TO BE GIVEN UP. SPAY & NEUTER, It is one of the best answers to overpopulation. It will also help the useless killing in the shelter system. Victoria Burrows has been in the entertainment industry for more than 25 years. She began her passionate pursuit of rescuing and fostering dogs back in 2000. As a result of observing and volunteering with her friends in rescue, she started Star Paws Rescue, which adheres to the following guidelines in order to help the animals: 1. We will rescue abused, abandoned or injured dogs. We give them tlc, and medical help. We find them loving homes that fit their needs so it will last the rest of their lifetime. 2. We offer support to independent rescuers, or persons, who need help in finding a home for a rescued animal or their own pet which they feel they can no longer keep. We provide information, a courtesy website for posting photos and a place to show the animal at our adoptions every weekend. 3. We spay/ neuter, microchip, and make sure all animals have their current DHLPP shots before placing them in their adoptive homes. WE ALSO OFFER A TRIAL PERIOD BEFORE ADOPTION. FOSTERING - A FEEL GOOD WAY OF HELPING WITHOUT THE 15yr COMMITMENT! This is a perfect opportunity to help if you don't feel that you can make the long term commitment of adopting a pet. FOSTERING means temporarily caring for a pet by providing a loving, warm home environment while we provide food and any vet care needed. Fostering allows us to observe the personalities of the animals we rescue which greatly helps us in finding them the best possible home.
