Last Hope Cat Kingdom is the ONLY no-kill animal sanctuary in the Merced area. Founded in 2001 by Atwater resident Renate Schmitz and her late daughter, Mona, the sanctuary, located in rural Atwater, CA, features a cattery and lots of acreage for dogs, horses, goats and other animals. We offer rescue, spay and neuter and adoption services for dogs and cats, as well as other domesticated animals.
