The Downtown Dog Rescue works in the Downtown and South Central Los Angeles areas with homeless people, and their dogs by offering free spay/neutering, vaccinations, and wellness care. We offer dogs for adoption that were once homeless people's dogs. These dogs are either surrender to us, or strays the ended up in a homeless encampment. The majority of the dogs that we care for on the street that live with homeless people eventually end up in our care, and are put up for adoption. When you adopt a Downtown Dog Rescue dog you are adopting a very special dog that has been socialized, trained in basic obedinence, and is spayed neutered and vaccinated. We are working on ending the presensce of unwanted dogs in downtown Los Angeles one dog at a time one day at time by offering spaying /neutering, and adopting out all of the dogs that we can. We are a 100% volunteer based group.
