Who We Are
National Cat Protection Society (NATCAT) Newport Beach is a non-profit, private cat shelter run entirely by donations. We gratefully accept many types of donations - monetary; items such as linens, unopened dry (preferably NUTRO® MAX® or Iams®) and canned cat food, and cat toys, trees and beds; and time, offering volunteers a therapeutic environment. We also need volunteers to foster underage kittens.
NATCAT takes in owner-relinquished cats on a space-available, by appointment-only basis. Our relinquishment fee is $50 per cat. Managed by staff and volunteers who tremendously love cats, NATCAT shelters the relinquished kitties in clean, comfortable living quarters until finding them a suitable home. We also offer older cats a luxurious retirement home.
For more information on donations, relinquishment, adoption or retirement, contact or visit NATCAT today.
Adopting a Friend
To adopt a cat or kitten from NATCAT, you must first complete an application. After reviewing your application on-the-spot, we may invite you to visit our kitties. If no adoption occurs, we hold your application for one year. Our adoption fee is $75, which includes spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and leukemia testing prior to adoption. We also provide carriers at no charge.
