At the risk of sounding like what my father would refer to as "Candy Asses" we'd like to take a moment to tell everyone who visits this site, how much we appreciate you taking the time and effort involved in working with a rescue, to bring home a new family member.
We consider every adoption a freaking miracle, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us be part of this journey.

Who We Are
We are a small collective of idiots who have not figured out how to say
the word nnnnnnnno! (to things with fur or feathers) Our mission is to place the discarded, abused, neglected, abandoned (or just plain widowed, by virtue of a death in the family) into even better new homes.
Adopting a Friend
To add a new friend to your family just requires convincing one of us that we could possibly stand you for the next 15-20 years. We do try to do home checks... not to look in your medicine cabinet, so much as to weed out the occasional maniac. We'll probably also hit you up for a donation, which will then be promptly be applied to Vet bills, that will not be paid in full, in any of our lifetimes.

We'll be at the Riviera Village Summer Festival in Redondo Beach on Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28! Go to their website for times and location information. We will also be showing at Rancho Palos Verdes' 4th of July Celebration.
We show on the corner of 15th Street & Montana in Santa Monica, every Sunday from 3-6 pm (on the grass, in front of the Citibank). Come and see the kids (and us) in the flesh!
DOG FOOD: It's best to supplement kibble with at least some canned food. Smaller pet stores may have sample bags for you to try to see if your dog likes it, or you may contact the manufacturer directly. All of these manufacturers also make good cat foods. If you want to learn more about what makes a good food, check out the Dog Food Project.
Healthwise is made by the same manufacturer as Innova, Evo, and California Natural, and is considered to be Natura's budget line - still a good food for the price, but a bit harder to find - AnimalFoodNetwork.com and Global Pet Food Outlet do carry them
SUPPLIES:
Crate (wire or plastic) - your dog's den, essential for potty-training puppies and dogs who get carsick
Flat buckle collar, 4-6' leash (retractable not recommended unless you want to encourage pulling), harness for pullers and collar-slippers [Lupine guarantees to replace all their products for life, even if chewed!]
ID tag - keep on your dog with the Used Pets tag, we especially love the Red Dingo tags
Bed or crate pad
Food and water dishes - steel is more durable than plastic and less likely to cause skin/nose irritation
Kong or sterilized hollow bones - to stuff with cream cheese, peanut butter, etc. for the dog's chewing enjoyment; less likely to cause intestinal blockage than rawhide or Greenies
Toys! - soft and squeaky are usually the most popular :)
All of the above can be found at any Centinela Pet Supplies. Smaller stores in the area that carry better foods include gotpetfood.com, My Pet Naturally, and 2 Pet Depot franchises - Judy's and Kirby's - the only stores in this large franchise we recommend, as they DO NOT sell puppies!! I have found the best deals at Red Barn Feed Store in Tarzana, AnimalWorldNetwork.com in Studio City, and Global Pet Food Outlet in Torrance.
There aren't any really great foods available at Petco or Petsmart (Avoderm, C&P Organix, or Solid Gold are OK in a pinch), but they carry a large selection of supplies and offer affordable obedience classes.
