Placer SPCA now offers FREE spay and neuter services for cats and pit bull / pit bull mix dogs residing in Placer County. For more information, call 916-782-7722 x 104 or click here to learn how you can have your cat or pit bull/pitbull mix dogs, OR free-roaming neighborhood cats spayed or neutered at no cost to you.


Monthly Low-Cost Rabies Clinics
Held monthly, rabies shots are only $5, no appointment required. The Rabies Clinics are from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. You will receive a certificate of vaccination. To receive a three-year certificate, please bring proof of prior vaccination. Please be sure to have your dogs on leash and your cats in carriers.

Adopting a friend

To help us match you with the right pet, you will be asked to complete a Matchmaker/Companion Request Form. You can pick one up at our center, or find it online.

Please visit our website for current adoption prices. All adoptions include, at minimum, vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, and a microchip. All adopters receive a voucher for a free veterinary wellness exam.

Once your new companion is home with you, remember that the Placer SPCA is a resource for you. We have valuable information about a variety of behavior issues, as well as information on transitioning a new pet into your home.
