The Center for Animal Protection and Education (CAPE) is an organization whose goals are to educate people about the plight of animals in society today. In our Foster Care Program, we provide sanctuary for rescued animals who are older, injured or recovering from an illness. Every animal CAPE rescues is placed into a new, loving home through our Adoption Program. CAPE also sponsors, supports and produces Education Programs designed to inform people about current issues animals face in society today. These range from our television show titled "Speaking of Animals" to our documentary film production "Old Friends."
Adopting a friend
The animals at CAPE are placed in foster homes while they await their permanent homes. Please call the number listed with the animal you're interested in to get more information and to make arrangements to visit. We have no set adoption fee, however donations are very welcome and will help us place more animals.
