News - Feel free to visit our other web site listed below under "Come Visit Us!" We do require that all perspective adoption familys' fill out our "Adoption Questionnaire" located at http://robin2critters.tripod.com/robin2crittersrescue . This "adoption questionnaire" helps us direct the families to the most suitable candidates with the family personality. Thank you and we look forward in talking with all of you. Have a great day and week ahead. From all of us and all of the doggies here in rescue. :) They send all of you many licks and tail wags to brighten your day. Big smiles, Robin and all the doggies

Who We Are - We are a small rescue of small dogs mainly of various breeds and ages. We often have other size dogs as well so feel free to check out the doggies and their own specialness and uniqueness to each of them. We have just relocated to the precious little community of Strathmore, Ca - a small community in the central valley (north of Porterville approx. 5 miles and approx. 19 miles southeast of Tulare and Visalia) and we offer private "meet and greets" here at our new permanment facility and/or we will also be holding monthly adoptions on-going at PETCO-Paso Robles located in beautiful Central Coast of California north of San Luis Obispo, by approximately 30 miles and inland from the ocean also by about 30 miles. Other information regarding us is that all dogs being considered for adoption - we do REQUIRE an ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE be filled out and submitted. No Exceptions. This can be located at: http://robin2critters.tripod.com/robin2crittersrecue ) Also the only way to reach us by phone is to: DIAL 711 and ask operator for (559) 568-0828 deaf special phone. Our fax number is (559) 568-0828 on the 4th ring. Further information: each dog has had a wellness check-up and rechecked when necessary, along with all are spay and neutered, current vaccines of DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies along with being de-wormed, de-flea and de-ticked, crate trained, travel trained, grooming introduced, socialization training started, basic obedience begun, housetraining in progress and all our indoor/outdoor babies. Those doggies under 10lbs are generally indoor dogs with exercise and play outdoors. We DO REQUIRE an emergency ID tag made immediately and placed on the dog at the time of adoption along with having a secure fenced yard, and only under certain circumstances do we waiver from this policy. We do have an adoption fee to help offset their medical expenses that have already been completed. We highly recommended as you begin looking for a special new family member that you think of their size and weight to the environment you want to bring them into. Small dogs get very cold in the winter and can overheat in the summer very easily (within hours) so please think of that as you look and consider a candidate for your family. Strathmore temperatures are currently running over 103 daily and have reached 108 a few days and nights are in the 60's+ while Paso Robles currently is averaging in the 90-105 daily and nighttime temperatures are 50's generally. Our summer months - we are known for over a 100 degrees so we consider that an important thing for hydration issues for all small critters and particularly the little doggies and that you think ahead of time for small doggies being indoor family members than exposed to the extreme temperatures in the hot summers and cold freezing winters. We look forward in the coming days in meeting many of you. Have a wonderful day.

Adopting a friend - When adopting a new special family member we like to meet everyone in your family and have their feed back and interaction with the candidate of choice. We work every hard in matching the right dog and personality with the family of similar personality. We also train and assist with some "service dogs" and "special needs" doggies. Choosing a new dog to join your family is a very special time and big deal. We are all excited for you and the special doggy for that forever lasting and loving home they will be joining. We do have sad feelings when people forget their pet is a family member and choose to relocate without their loving baby. So, when thinking about adopting a friend, take a minute please to also include in your thinking the long term. If you were to relocate does your pet have equal say of where you choose to move or do you pick a place that is "no animals", but you like it and want it over your loving fury friend? Sometimes, we forget to think ahead and we would just like you to remember to think of this in your thinking about adopting a new friend and family member. The doggies in our rescue and most other doggies enjoy being read to by children and adults, watching doggie movies and family movies and TV, listening to the radio, being included in your daily life and want to share all the love they can with you and your family. A special note to the children and teenagers: These doggies love hearing about your day and even know how to give special kisses on days that are maybe a little tougher than usual. They also love for you to read to them and they won't mind a bit if you make a mistake on a word or two or what you read them even your spelling words. They just love you taking the time to include them in something special you are doing. I am deaf and you know what - not one of my doggies in rescue cares that I am deaf or silly at times. They like being silly with me and we play and laugh and have fun. They just love me unconditionally and they want that from you and your family too. So smile big and remember always, doggies are just like you - they want love and attention and very quick to share their love back with you. :)
