Who We Are
SNO (Siberians Needing Owners) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization comprised of individuals and foster homes dedicated to the care, understanding, rehabilitation and adoption of Siberian Huskies (and other sled dogs). The advantages of adopting a dog from a breed specific rescue group are two fold; first, you receive first-hand knowledge about the breed from experienced Siberian Husky owners; second, you get information about the individual dog you hope to adopt, it's temperament, training capabilities and social skills.
SNO members are committed to placing these delightful animals in the best possible home with continued on-going support and advice. SNO makes a life-time commitment to their foster dogs. Dogs will be returned to SNO if the adoptive home can no longer provide the proper care and love.
Adopting a friend
Most of the dogs listed on petfinder have come from shelters in close proximity to a SNO foster home. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and assessed for temperament before placement.
Please contact the foster home listed with the dog. The foster home will most likely ask you several questions in order to get an understanding of your experience with the Siberian Husky breed and whether or not you can provide a safe environment for the dog. You will also be asked to sign a contract with SNO. Please understand that adoption contracts are used for the soul interest of your new best pal.
