We are a "NO KILL" animal shelter and non-profit organization
dedicated to placing homeless dogs and cats in permanent, loving homes and assisting in any way we can to remove barriers to responsible pet ownership.
Adoption
We DO NOT do any "same day" adoptions. If you are interested in one of our adoptable pets, you may submit an application which is available on our website. All the members in your household will need to meet the animal and if you rent, your landlord will be contacted to confim that you are allowed a pet. If you are applying for a dog, any dogs you have must do a Meet and Greet with the adoptable dog. All animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and have had a health check before they may be adopted. It is best to come and see the animal in person at our facility at 751 Black Road.
Volunteering
Volunteers are always needed and welcome. New volunteer orientations are held every month. Call us at (805) 349-3435 to find out when the next orientation will be held. Volunteers can walk dogs, play with cats, assist in the front office, help with special events, or offer any particular skill or service you have available. Volunteers must be 14-years-old and will need to attend orientation and every time they volunteer with a parent or guardian if they are under the age of 16. Come Visit Us!
We are open to view animals, schedule spay/neuter appointments, make a donation, or to answer your phone calls Monday - Saturday 10 am - 4 pm. We are closed on major holidays.
