Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California (BHRSC) offers sanctuary, healing and forever families to distressed, abandoned, injured or homeless hounds.
We work to raise funds to save as many hounds as possible and constantly thrive to grow our network of volunteers and foster homes.
BHRSC has found forever homes for 52 hounds since January 2014. With the down economy many families are losing their homes and having to relinquish their hounds. Shelters are full and rescues across the country are suffering. Many are overflowing and unable to take in hounds while others are closing their doors completely.

By adopting a hound from BHRSC, not only does it bring joy to your world, you receive a grateful new companion in return! All dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on their shots and have had their medical needs addressed by an experienced vet before they are adopted. Most importantly by adopting a dog, it frees up resources and space to save another life. You may not be able to change the world but you can save a life of a Basset Hound!
Can you open your home to a hound in need? We are in need of foster homes to minimize the costs of boarding so we can help more hounds. Please visit http://www.bassethoundrescue.org/foster
