Each week an animal is featured at the Board of Supervisors’ meeting. Who We Are
We are the municipal animal shelter for the unincorporated areas of County of Los Angeles. We also provide animal services for 51 cities within Los Angeles County.
Adopting a friend
First time pet adopters may adopt a dog for $37.00 or a cat for only $32.00 (additional animals at separate rate). First time dog and cat adoption fees include spaying and neutering costs, initial vaccinations, a free health examination at participating veterinary offices and a seven day exchange. In addition to the adoption fee a license is required for most animals. If you live in our service area we can sell you a license. If you live in a city we do not service you will need to purchase your license from the city or their contracted agency.
