Our Featured Pet...
Gretel is a cattle dog mix who is as sweet as can be and loves to play with her foster brothers and sisters despite losing an eye to severe glaucoma. She will require eye drops for the rest of her life (VERY inexpensive thanks to Costco) to slow down the process in her right eye. Even while in pain prior to surgery Gretel's tail wagged with sheer happiness of human companionship and she begged belly rubs. Gretel is very people oriented, loves to be brushed and go for rides in the truck but no cats for Gretel. She is spayed, heartworm negative, UTD on all shots and on heartworm preventative and would love to spend her life in a loving home. We're guessing her age to be between 6-8, could be younger. Who We Are
Wing and a Prayer Rescue is a small independent rescue, 501c(3) status pending, comprised of a few individuals who take dogs from high kill shelters or special needs dogs and place them in loving permanent homes. Since it's inception in the summer of 2003 over 250 dogs have been rescued and rehomed. As the number of dogs saved is directly proportionate to the number of foster homes we have, foster homes are always being sought out. Wing and a Prayer pays for food and any medical expenses incurred. As all dogs are in foster homes, appointments are made on an individual basis unless Wing & a Prayer is participating in an adoption event in which case that information is usually added to the dog's listings.
