Northern California Pekingese Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing pure-bred Pekingese. Rescued Pekes are being fostered in Northern California and Northern Nevada. All dogs will be spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fees are $150.00-$200.00. Donations are gladly accepted and are tax-deductible.
Thank you for your interest in adopting a Pekingese from Northern California Pekingese Rescue. After reading this, you may click the 'Application' link above to fill out our ONLINE adoption application. There are a few things we would like you to know about our organization.
1. We sometimes get several applications on the same dog; However, that does not put you out of the running. Placements will be based on what we believe is in the best interests of the Peke.
2. Not all of our Pekes are on the website.
3. We do not even consider an adoption before we have an application.
4. We do not ship Pekes, but will consider out-of-state adoptions.
5. We do require an adoption fee and home visit. All dogs are spayed, neutered, and up to date on shots.
6. We are an IRS 501c3 non-profit organization, so donations are tax-deductible!
7. Last but not least: We are run entirely by a few volunteers. That means we have families, jobs and lives of our own, not to mention several dogs to take care of. Some times it takes us a while to get things going and complete an adoption. Please be patient. You may e-mail and ask about the status of your application, or the availability of Pekes.
