Who We Are
Friendly Feline Rescue, established July 2000, is dedicated to rescuing unwanted kittens and cats and placing them into loving, caring, and safe homes. Our motto is quality rescue and client education.
You may ask, what is quality rescue?
To us, quality rescue means every animal has had a health assessment upon arrival and kept quarantined from other animals until it is deemed perfectly healthy.
Our animals have been spayed/neutered, Felv/FIV tested, given the first two in the series of FVRCP vaccinations, completely dewormed, and treated with Advantage before going to its new home.
We include a free pet examination from a qualified veterinarian to further insure the health of your new pet.
We provide extensive education during the adoption process to help insure your new animal?s safety and longevity.
We feed our animals only premium foods (Natural Balance, Felidae, and Eagle Pack), and we are happy to refer our new clients to specialty pet stores where they may purchase these products.
Friendly Feline Rescue prides itself by becoming a lifetime consultant to you and your new pet for any questions or concerns you may have now or in the future.
We are very concerned about the pet over population problem. What are we doing about it? Friendly Feline Rescue participates in the humane trapping of feral cats and release program. The feral cats are humanely trapped, spayed/neutered, dewormed, treated for illness, and given flea treatment before re-release. If the feral colony does not have a food source, volunteers for Friendly Feline Rescue insure the feral cats have food and water.
Adopting a friend
All thats required to adopt a cat or kitten is a mini interview over the phone, an appointment to meet the fuzzy criter, and a short application process. This is the time of year where we are desperate for foster homes, so if you've thought about fostering an animal but didn't quite know how to do go about doing it, our staff will supply all the necessary supplies and training that is needed.
