WE URGENTLY NEED VOLUNTEERS Orange County Animal Rescue Coalition urgently needs volunteers to help with adoption on Saturdays from 12PM-4PM; maintain the cats at our Petsmart store in District Shopping Center week-days and week-ends. Please contact: Fran Orange County Animal Rescue Voice Mail: 949/451-3272 E-mail: fran@oc-arc.com The Best Job we ever had Foster Care Over the past year we have adopted over 1,000+ kittens to wonderful homes. Most of the kittens have come into our care through the bleakest of circumstances. Some were found in storm drains during the coldest of our winter, some sopping wet at a curb at a Carl's Junior, some meekly crying for help in the dangerous of roadways, but all homeless, helpless and needy. Our hearts especially go to these poor orphaned and unwanted babies. They are sometimes so weak, it seems as if they have only moments of life left in them. Our job as foster caregivers is to provide everything they could possibly need to survive. A warm home, a good bottle or dish of food, clean bedding and many sleepless nights cradling sick, tiny kittens. This is the toughest job anyone can imagine and our foster caregivers give of themselves endlessly. And Yet Not one of us would change it in a million years! Maybe you would like to become one of our crazy caregivers? It?s the best job we have ever not been paid for What you can expect as a foster caregiver - Our organization provides the milk, bottles, supplies, kitten food, carriers and towels. We pay for vaccines, medications and early spay & neuter. You provide the care, the love and the socialization (not to mention the laundry!) Our foster kittens have a close bond with humans, as they spend so much time with our foster caregivers. We place them with adoptive homes that appreciate their background. Our foster caregivers are two levels Bottle feeders - These are people who can do the bottle feeding as their lifestyles are flexible and they have some time to devote to feedings every 4 hours. The kittens are anywhere from 1 day old to 3 weeks old. Older kittens ? The kittens may come in a little older, but not old enough to survive and be ready for adoption. The care needed is a bit less than bottle feeders, but still require hands on care. These kittens are from 3 - 8 weeks of age. Some may come in a little less socialized and require some TLC. Its really the fun time of kittenhood! We have a flexible program, and appreciate any time you can devote to this project. As usual, spring is the busiest time of year, as the kittens are being born every minute. Please consider this new adventure. Call our hotline (949) 451-3272 and we can set you up for a super rewarding experience.

Who We Are

OC ARC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was formed to promote humane treatment and quality of life for all animals, rescue animals in need, reduce pet overpopulation and provide pet adoption services. We do not accept OWNER RELINQUISHED animals as we do not have the facilities to accommodate them. We are pleased to announce our partnership with PetsMart at the District Shopping Center in Tustin, CA. We have many wonderful adult cats available for adoption. OC ARC is completely volunteer driven, no salaries are paid. Volunteers help by fostering animals that are too young or sick to be placed at the Luv-A-Pet center. Healthy animals are maintained at the store by diligent volunteers. Please consider helping our animals in need by volunteering your time - either at the store or by helping stuff mailers, fostering kittens or fund-raising events. Please call (949) 451-3272.
