Our Pet List

Our Featured Pet...

Capone is around 6 years old but still very active. Given his one blue eye he is definitely a Siberian, Malamute mix who also could have some Shepherd in there. He is a beautiful boy who rides well in the car, is okay on leash, once he settles down but could use some training. Capone is willing to please. and would be a wonderful companion for the person who would give him the love and attention he deserves, along with consistency in training and activity. Capone is currently in the Fremont area. Contact Maureen Marcus 510-895-9104 spiritofashadow@aol.com

News

URGENT !! MUSH would like to thank everyone who have made donations to help us pay for Kendall's medical expenses. Her bills were pushing $ 3800.00 and with your help we have brought that figure down to $ 1900.00. It seems this year we just can't get a break, medical expenses for spay and neuter of Malamute size have gone up and we've had others coming in with medical needs including a puppy (Charlie - mal/shep mix pic below) who had his eye scratched by a cat, this happened before he came into the shelter and went untreated. We have decided to keep his eye but determining the cause and prognosis has been costly. MUSH and the rescues hope you will continue to give your financial support, but if this is not possible, please think about fostering, Smokey and Capone are in a kennel where we pay a daily rate and could certainly use a foster home, each is unique in their situations, but loving dogs none the less. If they aren't the dog for you, please tell others you feel may be interested. We all THANK YOU for the help that you have provided to MUSH and to the future help! We couldn't save Kendall but we will do our best to save others.
