Our Pet List

Pet of the Month

Our pet of the month introduces himself...GUY

Guy is a very (VERY) large fellow. He definitely has some Maine Coon in him. His feet are enormous. After being abandoned and living on the streets for a couple of years, Guy came to love the good life once he was rescued. He could not believe that he didn't have to scrounge for food all the time. So he stuck his head in the food bowl and ate and ate and ate. He soon weighed 21+ pounds! Now he is in Kitty Boot Camp and is well on his way to a new, svelter figure. He is down to 20 pounds and we hope to get him down to about 15 or 16 pounds. He loves to be brushed - even more than food. And he will follow you around like a puppy dog. He is even bigger than a lot of dogs! Please adopt him!

News

Summer is here! Time to welcome a new addition into your family! Wouldn't you just love to bring home a special new dog or cat? And what better animal to welcome into your home than a rescue, who wants nothing more than to love you with all their heart. We have several wonderful animals to choose from, so please stop by on adoption days and check them out!

Who We Are

LIFE strives to find loving homes for shelter and abandoned dogs and cats. The majority of our animals are rescued on their last days at the shelter. We are also strong advocates of Spay and Neuter programs, and all of our animals are altered prior to placement.

Adopting a friend

We have a three-step process for adopting our dogs and cats:

1. Visit our adoption sites, or email us.
2. Speak with our adoption counselors and complete an application.
3. If we have a dog that is the right match, we complete a homecheck prior to placement. If we have a cat that is the right match, they can go home as soon as the application process is completed and approved.

Our donation fee is $200 for dogs and $125 for cats. Our donation fee helps cover the cost of spaying or neutering, initial vaccinations, medical care and tests, flea control and de-worming, and the care of the animals for as long as it takes to find a new home.

Volunteering and Donations

Youth (over 14 for dogs) and adult volunteers (for both dogs and cats) are needed every Saturday at our adoption sites, and also during the week to help clean cat cages, walk dogs and give lots of love to homeless animals!! Can you spare a few hours? E-mail us at lifeanimalrescue@aol.com

Donations are graciously accepted every Saturday at our adoption location or by mail to the address below. Every donation helps us assist those animals that may otherwise be passed over at the shelter due to injuries or illness. Please help!
