Our Pet List

Our Featured Pet....

Thinking of Adopting? Don't forget to consider less adoptable pets....they will thank you forever!

Wally is a 3 1/2 month old cute little boy who was rescued from a local shelter where he was scheduled to be euthanized.
Although Unconditional Love Animal Rescue is primarily a cat rescue organization, we could not let Wally die...so Wally came with us.
Life has not been treating Wally kindly; this little tyke was left tied up at the shelter with a note saying "DON'T WANT HIM".
You may ask, "What is it that is so special about this strawberry blond beauty"?
Well, Wally is a wibbly-wobbly-zig-zaggy kind of pup!
Part of his brain called the cerebellum did completely mature at birth. The cerebellum is responsible for sensory perception, coordination and motor control.... so Wally is a little unstable on his feet.
But don't feel sorry for Wally! He can get anywhere he wants to go....it just takes him a little longer to get there. And while he does fall down sometimes, he picks himself up and keeps on going.
Wally's perspective is this: he is just a normal pup who loves to play, wrestle, and be happy!
Wally's condition will neither improve nor get worse; there is no treatment for it.
Dogs like Wally have a normal life expectancy and are completely mentally alert (you should see Wally fetch!)
Wally is a VERY affectionate little boy who LOVES to cuddle and sit on your lap (must be his Chihuahua genes!). He also likes to make sure that his foster mom and dad are well licked head to toe:):)

We are working on Wally's social skills; he gets a little nervous around strangers and needs time to warm up. All this little cutie needs is an understanding family who is willing to realize that Wally has some limitations.
Wally is great with dog-savvy cats and is a big pal with one of our foster cats named Talbot (who is also currently available for adoption). These two really like to wrestle together!
Wally is currently crate-training and he is still learning the ropes of being housetrained. He has learned to walk on a leash but prefers no moving cars passing by him :)
Wally may be different than other puppies; none the less he deserves having a great family who loves him the way he is and for what he is! We know that somebody out there has a BIG heart to give to this little wobbly boy!
