Oliver came to us as a 1.9 lb 4 month old puppy in respiratory distress. His former owner purchased him online from a puppy mill in Oklahoma. She only had him a few days before his breathing became more labored. She took him to the vet where he was diagnosed with pneumonia so severe that one lobe of his lungs was not working at all. Unfortunately his owner was unable to afford his surgery so she surrendered him to us. After several months of antibiotics his lung is still not clearing up so he needs to have the infected lung removed. He is now a whopping 5.5 lbs and strong enough to go through surgery. The surgery is estimated to cost $3,000. CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
The only way rescues like us can survive is with the dedication of volunteers. We need volunteers to foster dogs and puppies, transport animals to vet visits and adoptive homes, socialize animals, train dogs, and work adoption events. WE ESPECIALLY NEED FOSTER HOMES!!! THE MORE FOSTER HOMES THE MORE ANIMALS WE CAN HELP!!!If you can spare even a small amount of time, please contact us. It is very rewarding work!!!
WHO ARE WE
Pawsitively Purrfect Animal Rescue's goal isn't necessarily different from other animal rescues, we want to save animals from death in shelters. It isn't about saving the prettiest, smallest or youngest animals, it is about saving as many adoptable animals of all ages, shapes and sizes. What makes us a little different is our adoption process. We expect a lot from your adopters because we want the best for our animals. Some may feel we pry too much into the prospective adopter's life, but we feel if the adopter is worthy of one of our animals, he or she will welcome the questions and home-check.

2. Complete adoption application
3. Application is reviewed
4. Meeting with the animal
5. Home-check is scheduled
6. Home check is performed and trial adoption period starts
7. Trial adoption period is completed- You have a new family member!
