Who We Are

The Feral Cat Foundation is an all volunteer, non-profit group that works to reduce the suffering of feral cats and kittens in Alameda and Contra Costa counties of northern California. We accomplish this through an aggressive trap/spay-neuter/recover/release program. Young kittens are socialized and placed into loving homes. Cats that cannot be socialized are returned to safe locations where they are fed by our committed volunteers and other caring people.

Adopting a friend

All cats and kittens available on this website have tested negative for kitty AIDs (FIV) and feline leukemia (FELV). All cats and kittens have been spayed or neutered and have had FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations appropriate for their age. FCF does not vaccinate for leukemia. The decision to vaccinate for leukemia or not should be discussed with the family veterinarian after adoption. Your $100 adoption donation (tax-deductible) covers only a portion of the costs incurred to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption.

Come Visit Us!

Feral Cat Foundation does not have a shelter. All of our cats are fostered and socialized in volunteers' homes. As a result, we get to know our cats and kittens very well and can provide detailed personality descriptions to prospective homes. For each of our available cats and kittens, contact information is provided for a person who knows the animal very well.

We have scheduled cat and kitten adoptions at local pet stores. Checkout the schedule at our website.
