We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Central California. We rescue unwanted dogs, occassionally cats, help turn them into great pets, and then find them loving, FOREVER homes.

LOW COST SPAY & NEUTER

Merced Animal Rescue is now offering spay & neuter discounts for dogs and cats. You must be a Merced County Resident and be receiving Medi-Cal. Please call them at 725-0273 for more information.

You can help control the unwanted pet population.

  1. If you want a purebred dog, please contact a breed rescue rather than buying from a breeder. Rescues have many great pets. Click here to find a breed rescue.

  2. Spay & neuter ALL your pets. Just because your pet doesn't leave the yard doesn't mean a stray won't jump a fence and visit. Contact your local vet or click on the ad below for discount information for your area. If you are in California, please email us for current discount programs.
