Who We Are

wonder dog rescue was founded to rescue, rehabilitate and place Boston Terriers and others at risk of being euthanized due to the pet overpopulation problem. Dogs come to us through owner surrender and shelters in Northern California. We are not a shelter, but a team of caring foster homes and volunteers. Each of the homes are screened carefully, and a lot of support is given to make sure the adoption is a success. If circumstances change, we ask that the pet is returned to us. We do NOT ship under any circumstances.

If you are interested in adopting, we ask that you fill out a preliminary application. You can download the application on www.wonderdogrescue.org. This helps us to make the best match between pet and human. We are committed to working with you to help you find your perfect animal companion! If you are not sure about adoption at this time, please let us know if you are interested in fostering an animal in need. Any animal with an * next to their name is looking for a suitable foster home.

A wonderful resource is http://www.srdogs.com/, lovingly dedicated to finding homes for senior dogs. While most people do not want to adopt "old dogs", these creatures are so incredibly loving and make fabulous pets.. Please consider an older dog!!
