Our Pet List

News

Welcome to Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue! We are volunteers, seeking volunteers! Help us save more Labs by becoming a volunteer to help a homeless Lab. Please contact us for more information, or fill in a volunteer application on our website, www.sclrr.org (click on forms). Foster homes are needed in all areas we serve, including Ventura County, Los Angeles County, Orange County and parts of San Bernardino County.

Who We Are

Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc., started in 1998. We are nonprofit, and recognized under the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)3 as a charitable, tax exempt organization. All the money that we earn goes toward our mission of rehoming Labrador Retrievers, and educating the public about these wonderful dogs. Before our fostered and owner listed Labs can be adopted, an adoption application must be filled out by the applicant by clicking on "forms" at the top of our web site which is www.sclrr.org. Then we schedule a home visit to be completed by one of the sclrr volunteers. At that time, our volunteers will give you any contact information about the Labs that interest you and you're welcome to call, ask questions and then meet the dog(s) that interest you. This can take place at the foster rep.'s home, at an adoption day event or at the owner's home that has a listed dog with us. Our rescued labs are fostered in our volunteers' homes and have been evaluated with cats, kids and dogs. We know their behaviors, training levels, and temperments and have taken care of any obvious health problems before making them available for adoption. They are spayed/neutered, current on their vaccinations and microchipped. We do not keep them kenneled in a facility. The adoption fee varies with the age of the Lab. The listed dogs are Labs that owners need to place. We enter their Lab information and picture on our web site, the information posted is provided by the owners and any adoption is strictly between the adopter and the owner. These dogs are not SCLRR dogs, there is no adoption fee, but any donation to SCLRR is greatly appreciated.
