Other Departments Fees Description
We do have an adoption process which involves an application. It typically takes us three to five days to process the adoption application, which means pets are not able to go home the same day you select them. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. We do adopt our animals to be primarily indoor pets which are intended to become members of the family.
$80 for cats, which includes microchipping and registration.
$100 for dogs, which includes microchipping and registration.
Cats have been tested for FeLv and FIV (if older than 6 months), vaccinated againts FeLv, Rabies, FVRCP, dewormed, sterilized and microchipped.
Dogs have been tested for Heartworms, are currently on Heartworm preventative, vaccinated against DHLPP, Rabies, dewormed, surgically sterilized and microchipped.
The Healdsburg Animal Shelter is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to sheltering and protecting the homeless and unwanted companion animals of the City of Healdsburg while they patiently wait for loving, lifetime, responsible homes. We also provide Animal Control services for the City of Healdsburg, including Lost and Found pets, cruelty investigations, pick up and redemption of stray cats and dogs and nuisance animal complaints.
