Who We Are

The specific objectives and purposes of this Calif charitable corporation is the rescue and placement of Shelter, abandoned and abused animals. To promote and educate the public of their responsibilities to help pet over population by spaying and neutering their animals. To work with the local legislatures and authorities to promote programs that will better educate the public in the health and maintenance of their pets, and to improve animal welfare. To interface with other animal welfare organizations to insure that the animals rights are not abused or violated. To offer our services to the local shelters and government agencies, to serve as educators in the community with respect to animal over population, unwanted strays, licensing, owner responsibilities.

Adopting a friend

We place nearly 300 dogs and cats in loving and safe homes every year. If you are interested in adopting a pet from us there is a procedure to follow. We ask that you complete an adoption questionnare. This will help us in assisting you with the best suited pet for your life style. Remember adopting a pet into your family is a life time commitment for the pet; 15 or more years for a healthy well taken care of cat and 10 to 15 years for most dogs. Our cats must go to homes where they are inside only cats - no exceptions. We conduct a home inspection to insure that the screens on the doors and windows are in good repair, that there are no areas unsafe for the cats and that they can not get out of the house. For the dogs we inspect your yard. If you have wood fencing we look for holes, dryrot, low fencing, metal bars on gates that may be too wide for a small or toy dog allowing them to escape. We want our dogs to be socialized and a part of the family, not an outside dog only where they will soon be forgotten. An adoption contract is required. All our pets are spayed or neutered, have all their current shots, cats are tested for feline leukemia and are negative, all are dewormed, clean and free of fleas and most of our animals are microchiped. Adoption fees start at $75.00 for cats and start at $175.00 for dogs. The adoption fees vary depending on the pet you select for adoption. The majority of our pets are kept in foster homes and are very well adjusted, housebroken and the dogs have been started in dog obedience. We evaluate the behavior, temperment and personalities our our foster pets so that we can properly match them up with their new families.
