Friends of the Tracy Animal Shelter

Our Mission

The Friends of the Tracy Animal Shelter (TAS) program exists for the sole purpose of partnering with the Tracy Animal Shelter. This non-profit organization will provide medical assistance when needed, assess Tracy Animal Shelter needs and provide supplies when needed. In addition, TAS will address community needs when possible, as well as implement programs to promote adoption and spay/neutering. Our organization will host fundraising events, and serve as a platform to help create community and shelter relationships through fostering programs, thus continuing the main goal of increasing live release rates.
To fulfill this vision, the Friends of the Tracy Animal Shelter will endeavor to:

Co-sponsor events with the City of Tracy Animal Shelter

Work hand in hand with shelter staff to meet the needs of the shelter

Attend community events to educate our citizens on ways to help the City of Tracy Animal Shelter and the animals being housed.

Pro-actively gain donations or grants to help with any monetary aide that the City of Tracy Animals Shelter needs.

Create and maintain an active foster program to aid the shelter with their live release rate.
