Our Pet List

Since 2004 the Lassen Humane Society has returned over $60,000 to Lassen County residents in spay/neuter reimbursement funds. We have helped alter over 1,760 dogs and cats. Let's keep it going Lassen County!

Who We Are

We are an independent, nonprofit organization made up of community members dedicated to the safety and humane treatment of animals. We receive our support from private contributions and memberships and do not receive funds from government entities or national associations. We welcome donations of any dollar amount as well as donations of professional services, all of which are tax deductible.

WE HAVE NO SHELTER and have several very dedicated Foster Families who provide loving homes until we can place our animals. We also feature a Pet of the Week in the Lassen County Times to encourage the adoption of our animals into loving, caring, for life homes.
Our focus is to educate the community on problems contributing to the continuing cycle of pet overpopulation causing the euthanasia of hundreds of animals a year in our community. We emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering and raise funds to help cover the complete cost. We attempt to find permanent homes for dogs and cats in need.

Membership fees for the Lassen Humane Society are:
$5.00 - Student
$10.00 - Individual
$25.00 - Family
$100.00 - Susataining
$250.00 - Sponsor
$500.00 - Lifetime
Lassen Humane Society Members receive a quarterly newsletter, one free pet tag per year, and donations and dues are tax-deductible.
