The Los Banos Volunteers for Animals is looking for more volunteers to help out in many ways. Do you have some extra time or room to foster? We accept donations of food, bedding and funding for our spay/neuter program. We would love to hear from you!
Please remember, help us make our jobs obsolete-SPAY & NEUTER your pets! You can help to reduce unwanted animal populations by sponsoring a spay or neuter. The Los Banos Volunteers for Animals has started a new program - Sponsor a Spay (or Neuter!). This program is available to low income families to help eliminate unwanted litters. Come visit us at our adoption fair at Petco in Gilroy! We will be there once a month-on the third Saturday of each month, from 10 to 2. PetCo is right off the 101 Fwy. at the Leavesley Rd. exit (just up the street from the Outlet Mall and across from Home Depot!)
Click on the link below for PetWear! A portion of any purchase you make from PetWear is donated to the Los Banos Volunteers for Animals and will be used to help fund our spay/neuter program.
Who We Are
Los Banos Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter that receives a lot of help from the volunteers. We are a very small shelter in a growing city. Our volunteers have opened the shelter on Saturdays for adoptions. We groom and exercise the dogs, which also help us evaluate them for placement. We also work with several rescues in an effort to save the lives of adoptable animals. We are currently working on public education, and spay/neuter programs.
Adopting a friend
We have a large exercise yard that you can get to know the dog of your dreams! We will have a get-acquainted room for cats soon. Contact the email below if you see an animal you might like, but remember, their available time is limited, so don't wait!
Come Visit Us!
We are located on the Los Banos Airport. The shelter is about 8 miles east of Interstate 5. Take the Hwy. 152 East exit. Turn left at West I St. (signal) and then left onto airport. Follow road past the airport to end, shelter is on right. From Hwy 99 or Hwy 165, take Hwy 152 West to West I St. Turn right, then left onto airport.
