Who We Are
The mission of the Escondido Humane Society is to promote responsible pet ownership by teaching compassion, respect, and caring for all living creatures. We advocate the elimination of animal abuse, pet overpopulation and homelessness of compainion animals.
Adopting a friend
At the Escondido Humane Society we try to make adopting a pet as easy as possible. There are a few simple ways to see our animals that are available for adoption. You can see our animals here on Petfinder.com. If you find any that you are interested in adopting feel free to call the shelter to inquire. You can also come down to the shelter and walk around. If you find animal that you are interested in, please return to the adoptions front office and inquire with a customer service representative. We will ask you to fill out a questionaire prior to interacting with the animal in one of our play areas. At this time the adoption counselor can answer any quetions you may have about the history and care for this animal.
