DACHSHUND RESCUE OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA is a network of independent volunteers who work together to rescue and foster abandoned, abused, and/or unwanted dachshunds. We provide medical and behavioral care for them and place them in loving and appropriate homes.
DACHSHUNDS ARE LIKE POTATO CHIPS, YOU CAN'T OWN JUST ONE!
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADOPTER YOU MUST BE WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. We DO NOT ship or transport our dogs. NO EXCEPTIONS. You must be at least 21 years of age, have identification showing your present address and, if you rent your home, have the prior written knowledge and consent of your landlord. All potential adoptees will be required to fill out an application. References and veterinarian will be called, as well as a home visit.
We are proud to offer new adoptees PetFirst Insurance. Peace of mind and a healthy pet.
If, for whatever reason, you have come to the very hard decision that you can no longer keep your beloved dachshund? We can offer a safe place for you to surrender your dog where you know it would not be put down. Your dog would be fostered in one of our own homes until a good home can be found.
Freekibble.com's primary mission is to provide healthy, nutritious food to the dogs and cats at shelters who are working so hard to see that none of their animals go hungry - they need our help. Now, in addition to providing free kibble to the Humane Society of Central Oregon, Mimi and Freekibble are feeding many 1,000's of dogs and cats in shelters, rescues and through food-banks across the country... EVERYDAY!
