Noah's Bark is in need of foster homes. We do not have a shelter and are reliant upon a fostering network to provide temporary housing to our animals while they await placement into their permanent homes. Currently we have very few foster homes as a result many times we have to turn animals in need away because there is no one to foster them. News
Foster homes provide the love and shelter while Noah's Bark pays for the food, and all medical expenses. Foster homes are invaluable as the foster parent gains insight to the dogs personality and temperament to help us better match them with the perfect home. The foster parents need to be able to transport the dog to and from our pet adoptions held on Saturdays from noon-3pm at in Torrance CA.

Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit local pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. We are committed to finding permanent and happy homes for unwanted and homeless pets in our community. The organization was founded in 1997. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter, volunteers provide foster care for animals while they await placement. Pets come to us as strays, owner turn ins and from LA area shelters. We get dogs of all sizes and ages, purebreds and mixes alike. Although we primarily rescue dogs and puppies, we also have cats and kittens for adoption. Who We Are
In the greater Los Angeles County shelters alone an average of 475 pets are euthanized daily. There just aren't enough homes for them all. Noah's Bark's goal is to help provide animals a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation. We save pets in need and provide them with care and foster homes while they await adoption. We carefully match these pets to new loving and responsible owners. We also try to educate the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets. So if you think its ok to breed your little "Suzy" because she's a purebred, please be aware that over 25% of the animals at the shelter are purebreds.
Our adoptions are restricted to residences of the Los Angeles, CA area. We do not ship animals nor do we do any type of long distance adoptions. We do not adopt to persons under 21 years of age. We require prospective adopters to meet both us and the animal, fill out an application and be interviewed. If the application is approved we may also require home check so we can ensure the animals safety. Adoptions are not done a first come first serve basis, applicants are selected which best match the pet's temperament and needs. These pets are not for sale and the decision of where to place them is solely the responsibility of Noah's Bark. We reserve the right to refuse placement of our pets to any individual who does not meet our criteria. We also reserve the right to keep our reasons for refusal confidential within our organization. The welfare of our rescue animals is our top priority. Our Adoption Policies
There is a required tax deductible adoption fee of $300 for dogs, $400 for puppies (Seniors and special needs pets maybe adopted at a reduced fee). The adoption fee must be paid via check or cash, we do not accept credit cards. The adoption fee is used to help offset some of the cost needed to operate our rescue organization. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed prior to placement. We have an adoption contract. Pets adopted through Noah's Bark can not be sold, traded, given away or disposed of in any way. Although all of our animals are thoroughly evaluated, we cannot guarantee their health or temperament.

PLEASE NOTE: Filling out an application DOES NOT guarantee an adoption. We have thoroughly evaluated all of the animals in our care, and try very hard to match the right pet to the right person and situation. We reserve the right not to adopt.
