About NorCal Boxer Rescue
NorCal Boxer Rescue was born in June of 1998 when Amy Northrup-Adcock, our Founder and President, recognized the need for a reputable Boxer rescue organization in Northern California. In the months that followed, she worked to build the organization by developing relationships with California shelters and establishing a network of foster homes and volunteers. Within the first year of operation, NCBR had obtained its federal 501(c)(3) Non-Profit status and had rescued and re-homed 268 Boxers!
In November of 2001, Amy relocated to Richardson, Texas and began a second division of NCBR that serves the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex. Each division of NCBR has its own set of volunteers and distinct geographic coverage; however, both divisions fall under the umbrella of NorCal Boxer Rescue, Inc. and operate according to a standard set of policies and procedures.
Since NCBR's inception, we have had the great privilege of saving thousands of Boxer lives and providing just as many families with a loving and loyal companion!
Our Mission: Leave No Boxer Behind
NCBR provides a temporary sanctuary for Boxers in need throughout the Northern regions of California and Texas. We rescue Boxers from shelters and from owners who are no longer able to care for them. At a minimum, we provide these animals with veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, a microchip, a temporary foster home at a private residence, lots of love, and placement into a carefully screened forever home.
NCBR is run entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers who have an unmatched love for preserving this wonderful breed. We have no paid employees and allocate nearly 100% of our adoption fees and donations directly toward the care of our Boxers.

Our volunteers do not have the time to answer every inquiry about individual boxers on our website. Our Adoption Application must be completed and received prior to visiting and discussing our dogs.. Please do NOT contact us with questions about a particular boxer featured on our site without FIRST filling out the adoption application. We appreciate your understanding.
