Who We Are
Save Our Cats & Kittens-Sensibly (SOCKS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public corporaton, born January 19, 2009, 1:16pm. We were born because of a great need in the Rancho Cordova, CA for such an organization. We are an all volunteer organization that operates solely on donations. If you would like to donate visit our website www.rcsocks.org. We believe in a 3-step program in order to combat our community's severe cat overpopulation:
1) Educate the public on the responsibilities of being a pet guardian, especially, spaying and neutering.
2) Make available easily accessible free and lo-cost spay/neuter programs, which we have implemented through a spay/neuter voucher program. Last year (2010)we issued 118 spay/neuter vouchers.
3) Educate and implement Trap-Neuter-Return programs. Because of our rescue program we have available for adoption some very loving and grateful cats and kittens. Rescued kitties make such wonderful pets! Please check them out on Petfinder.
OUR MISSION
To ensure all homeless and domesticated cats and kittens are included in the "Circle of Compassion" through education, promotion and impementation of spay/neuter programs - and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) - the humane method of reducing cat overpopulation.
