FEATURED DOG

WOW What a difference a haircut can make!!!!! Oso came to us a shaggy mess. He's been to a groomer since and has just been shining. Oso is ready to find his furrrever home before the holiday's. He is medium size. He is super friendly and loves to play. Oso was bought from a breeder and spent most of his early life thrown into a backyard. Despite this he has a great temperment and would make a great family pet. Oso should remain in a healthy environment. Oso needs average TLC and he would definately like to make up for lost time with some extra play and attention. Oso is young and has many years of devotion for his next owner. He is neutered, microchipped and is current on his shots. To learn more about Oso or set up a meeting contact us.

RECENT SUCCESS STORY

Photobucket
Remi's story,

Remi is the dog formerly known as Dixie at H.A.L.T. Rescue. She had been taken to an animal shelter by her owner that no longer wanted to take care of her and her soon to be born pups. Remi was rescued by H.A.L.T., whose team cared for her and her puppies, who unfortunately all died due to a genetic disorder they all carried. My family adopted Remi on October 10, 2010. Within hours she made herself at home. Within days she was a part of our family. Now Remi and our Labrador mix Ruger are inseparable. They play eat and sleep together. Remi and Ruger fill their day with trips to the dog park, hiking, sleeping and playing in water when the weather is warm. Remi has adapted to our lifestyle beautifully. She thrives on positive reinforcement and was easily trained. We couldn't imagine our home without her. She has truly completed our family. We are thankful to H.A.L.T Rescue for saving her from the shelter and because they did my family has the sweetest most entertaining dog duo imaginable.

News

H.A.L.T. Rescue has been established as a non-profit organization. We are setting out in this endeavor with the hopes that we may help many animals live many more days in happy, healthy homes. As a new organization we are in dire need of community support. If you are interested in supporting our cause through donations or volunteer efforts please contact us.

Who We Are

We are a charitable, non-profit organization run strictly on a volunteer basis committed to helping the animals in this community.

With the cold weather just around the corner we are looking for donations of blankets, dog houses and Kuranda beds so that our kennel dogs are warm and comfortable throughout the cold winter nights. If you are interested in donating a Kuranda bed please visit the donation site listed through Petfinder and make your donation to H.A.L.T Rescue. Sleeping on the comforts of a Kuranda bed will keep the dogs warmer and ease their bones during the winter. Your donation will be well appreciated !!!!

Adopting a friend

If you are interested in adopting a pet for life please view all of our adoptable animals on line at Petfinder. All of our animals have been rescued from shelters or abandoned by their owners. For every animal adopted we are able to give a chance to another dog that is needing rescue from a shelter. Please help these animals whose time is running out!

***************

If you are unable to adopt an animal but would like to help you may make a monetary donation to the cause. Your donation will help to provide shelter, food and medical assistance for the animals in our care. Any amount no matter how small will go directly to support the rescued animals of H.A.L.T. Rescue. Please click on the DONATE button to make a donation.

Come Visit Us!

Contact us by e-mail or phone to meet the dog or cat you are interested in! We run on a volunteer only basis please allow 24 hours for a response.
