Tails of the City Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, no-kill, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the abatement of pet overpopulation, the re-homing of animals in need, and the prevention of abuse and neglect of domestic animals through humane education.
Tails of the City is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) animal rescue group that works with foster parents to give dogs and cats a second chance at finding a forever home. Our founder has been active in the animal welfare community for more than 20 years. Our commitment to our adopted dogs and cats continues long after placement, should the need arise. We are always there to accept and re-home any dog or cat we have placed, thus providing the ultimate safety net for our adopters. If you are interested in volunteering, fostering, or making a donation to Tails of the City, please send us an email or check out our website (see below).
If you're interested in adopting one of our pets, email us and we can send you an application for adoption. If your application is approved, we will do a home check to make sure everything is safe for you and the animal. We then have you fill out an adoption contract and ask for a $300 donation (for dogs) or $150 donation (for cats) to the cause.
Tails of the City Animal Rescue's dog adoptions are held every Saturday at the PETCO on La Brea at 2nd, behind the Ralphs on the corner of LaBrea and 3rd. Cat adoptions are every Sunday from 1-4pm at the same PETCO. . And follow us on Facebook for the very latest.
