Serenity is a really sweet kitty who is about 1 year old. We rescued her from a high-kill shelter with her three kittens. She was such a good mom, but now that her kittens have been adopted, she's ready to devote herself to someone that will give her a quiet home. Serenity is a kitty with a gentle soul. She is communicative and seems to always make a real connection with the humans that she meets. She comes when you call her, loves belly rubs, and gets along AMAZINGLY with the other kitties in her foster home. She likes to see what her people are up to, and will sometimes follow her foster mom from room to room and sits nearby. She purrs easily she loves to sit next to you for belly rubs and chin scratches. She is a very polite kitty who does not claw furniture or get on kitchen counters. Serenity would love a home with a safe outdoor area. She loves to hang out on her foster mom’s yard and patio. Serenity has very soft, short fur that does not shed much and though she has mostly tabby markings, the orange mixed into her coat actually makes her a Torbie which is a somewhat rare coloring.
Our group does not have a shelter, all of our foster animals are cared for in individual volunteer foster homes and are only available for meetings after you've submitted an application, and by appointment only. This is great for our rescued animals (they get to live in a normal home instead of waiting in a cage until they find a home) and it's good for our adopters as well. You'll get to see how they behave in a normal home environment.
If you want to make a tax-deductible donation to support the animals, checks can be made out to "Rescue Alliance" and mailed to
PO Box 60854
Sunnyvale, CA 94088
Can't foster? We can use lots of other kinds of volunteers. If you are interested in transporting from the shelter, or to / from neuter appointments, or if you can cat-sit or dog-sit an animal for a few days if their regular foster home goes out of town, please contact us.
By adopting a cat or dog from Tailchaser Rescue, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the animal. We make every effort to make the best possible match when placing our rescued animals with new families. Each adoptive home is screened carefully, and support is given throughout the adoption to make sure it is a success.
The required adoption donation for cats begins at $100, and dogs begin at $200. All animals are spayed and neutered prior to adoption.
If you are interested in adopting a cat or dog, please email TCRescue@hotmail.com for an application.
