Our Featured Pet - Darla!

Photobucket Photobucket

Darla is the friendlest bunny you will ever meet! She loves to cuddle and will run right up to you when you enter the room. She is perfectly comfortable being picked up and held as well. We think she might be a mix of a Lop and an English Spot. Her personality is a lot like a Lop as well. She has one ear that stands up, and one ear that flops over, and her cute fluffy furr peaks in a tiny mohawk on top of her head. She has a very cute happy dance that she is not shy about showing off when she is having fun. She is an energetic, happy, confident bunny that would do well with most other bunnies and she has even made best friends with the cat that lives with her at her foster home! Darla is litterbox trained though like many bunnies, a few pellets may escape her while she is wandering about. But she definitely knows to use her litterbox when she really has to go. Darla is just a baby, at 4 months old and she is ready for a family that will love her forever.

If you would like to meet the lovely Darla please email TCRescue@hotmail.com for an application. Her adoption fee is $40 and she is already spayed. Darla is being fostered in Hayward.

News

Want to volunteer? We are currently in need of more foster homes for kittens, cats, and dogs! If you are interested in volunteering as a foster home, please email TCRescue@hotmail.com!

Can't foster? We can use lots of other kinds of volunteers. If you are interested in transporting from the shelter, or to / from neuter appointments, or if you can cat-sit or dog-sit an animal for a few days if their regular foster home goes out of town, please contact us.

Who We Are

Tailchaser Rescue is a member of Rescue Alliance, a nationwide 501c3 non-profit organization. Tailchaser Rescue is devoted to rescuing cats and dogs from overcrowded shelters where they are in danger of being euthanized. We are an all-volunteer organization, primarily made up of caring foster homes who provide safe and loving environments for their foster animals. Our rescue animals receive all necessary medical attention until permanent homes are found.

Adopting a friend

By adopting a cat or dog from Tailchaser Rescue, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the animal. We make every effort to make the best possible match when placing our rescued animals with new families. Each adoptive home is screened carefully, and support is given throughout the adoption to make sure it is a success.

The required adoption donation for cats begins at $100, and dogs begin at $200. All animals are spayed and neutered prior to adoption.

If you are interested in adopting a cat or dog, please email us for an application.

Volunteering

Please contact us if you would like information about volunteering! We especially have a need for foster homes but there are many other ways you can help as well.
