Who We Are

We are in Bakersfield. We are a small group of volunteers who rescue innocent animals from the shelters. We foster them in our homes until we can find them forever homes of their own. Since January 1st, 2009, we have rescued or placed over 150 animals. This brings us to a total of over 600 animals that we have rescued since the beginning of the Wasco Animal Group.

Adopting a friend

Adopting your newest family member from us is easy:

1. Contact us and let us know who you're interested in.
2. Answer a few easy questions.
3. Fill out and, on approval, sign adoption papers.
4. Pay for your newly adopted pet.
5. Purchase a collar and I.D. tag for your new pet.
6. That's all, you're done!

Please Don't Abandon Your Pet

Please, for those of you who are considering abandoning your pet at a shelter hoping that a foster or rescue group will save it, please don't. The odds are very very very slim that your animal will make it out of there and into a new home. Our foster homes are always full due to the large volume of animals who end up in the shelters. And please, Do Not Abandon your animals at the corner market, school, park, pet store, etc, or out in the middle of nowhere, hoping that some kind-hearted stranger will rescue it and give it a forever home. Odds are that your pet will die of starvation, disease, end up in a shelter or hit by a car. Please, Do the Right thing, be responsible pet owners... SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS. Give your animals the proper medical treatment they need, and keep their shots current. A pet is a lifetime commitment.
