Dusty Paws Rescue, Inc., is a non-profit, all volunteer organization whose purpose is to save abandoned, neglected and/or abused animals from euthanasia by placing them into permanent, safe, stable and caring new homes. We do not maintain a boarding facility and our rescued animals are kept in foster homes until they are re-homed. .
First complete an on-line application and within 24 hours you will be contacted to discuss your application. Applications are not an automatic approval for re-homing. Home visits are required as is a 10 - 14 day sleepover period which gives enough time in the home to ensure a proper placement. If the application, home visit and sleepover all work out then we are happy to re-home the foster animal to you.
We offer an Owner Assist Program in which we work with people who have to give up their animal, but are able to keep them until Dusty Paws Rescue can help them find a new home through our re-homing process. On a smaller scale we offer an Owner Surrender Program in which an owner can relinquish their companion animal to the Dusty Paws Rescue Foster Program, depending on availability of foster homes.
