Our Featured Pet...

Our featured Pet is Mickey. Mickey is a beautiful female, Dalmation mix, she's called Mickey because she has the markings of Mickey Mouse ears on her back. Mickey was thrown from a car when she was just two months old, her front leg was badly fractured . She was rescued by a vet tech and had a home for almost 3 years. Unfortunately her family had an emergency and could not care for her any longer. Mickey has no use of her front right leg, but she runs, jumps, plays ball and is very energetic. Mickey doesn't always get along with other dogs, and is best as the only dog. She loves children and people, she is totally housetrained and loves to play with toys. Can you be her forever home? Telephone (661) 824-4495 for Mickey.

News

We are in need of Foster Moms for single dogs, dogs who need to be house trained, dogs that need medical attention, and momma dogs with their puppies! Please call to inquire: (661) 824-4495!

Our newsletter is sent for several reasons, we like to keep our "old friends", who have adopted from Halfway to Home informed about what we are up to. We like to showcase some of our dogs seeking homes currently. We love to thank and appreciate some of our contributors of services and deeds. We need to continue to make it clear that we survive on adoptions and contributions of money, services and donated goods. We need to keep the concept of spaying and neutering upper most in everyone's mind so that someday-Halfway to Home can happily retire. To ask for a newsletter or to be put on our mailing list, email sharonsseafood@prodigy.net or telephone (661) 824-4495 to get the fax turned on. To DONATE BY MAIL, tax deductable contributions can be mailed to Halfway To Home, Inc.; P.O. Box 512; Rosamond, CA 93560.

Who We Are

Halfway To Home was formed in 2001 due to the need in the Antelope Valley to rescue the many homeless, helpless pets. We have animals from individuals who have to give up pets, and from pounds that have darling individuals who need to be spared euthanasia. There are puppies coming from individuals who did not spay and neuter in a timely manner.

Our adoption procedure includes an application, an interview to make sure the dog and the people will be a good match, an adoption fee to cover the cost for shots, spaying or neutering, and a home check. We also would like you to own your own home and have a fenced yard. Halfway to Home dogs are adopted out to be part of the family, and many of them are housetrained, if not we ask that you are willing to undertake that task . Our dogs are intended to be indoor/outdoor family members. Doggie doors are a plus.

We are at Petsmart in Palmdale on10th St. West, next to Trader Joe's every Saturday and Sunday Rain or Shine from 1-5 Come Visit Us!
