Safey Dog Rescue was started all because of a little dog named Safey. Safey was a female Chihuahua that I had saved from a breeder that didn't want her anymore because she had bred her to death and she could no longer produce puppies. When I saw her my heart broke and I grabbed her and took her home and promised her that she would be safe and that is where her name came from. Safey was 12 years or older and had so many health problems it was so sad, her nails were grown into her paws, she was dying of mammory cancer which she got from never being spayed, she had been debarked and she had to have all but 4 of her teeth pulled. We had safey for 6 months of her life and made the horrible decision to have her put down after her quality of life was no longer good and we hated seeing her suffer.
The breeder still has dogs in fact she has over 130 chihuahuas and a lot of them are in the same shape that Safey was in but nothing can be done to her because she has a kennel license. I think this is ridiculous but it happens everywhere to thousands of dogs and it won't end until the public quits buying dogs from breeders and from Pet Stores. These animals are suffering all for the greed of their owners so they can make a quick buck on their babies.
I am a one person rescue who saves as many dogs as I can before they are put to sleep. These animals are brought into my home and treated like a member of the family,they sleep with us and share our couch during a movie. We treat them like a part of our family and expect whoever adopts them to do the same.

If you are interested in adopting you must fill out an adoption application and an adoption agreement and agree to ao home check. If i cannot get a home check due to distance then I request pictures of the potential home that my adoptive Furkid is going to and there is also an adoption fee to help me offset the costs that are in these furkids and it enables me to keep saving animals. I am very picky of the home that my furkids go to so please don't be offended with all the questions i ask,they are very special to me and I don't want them to end up back at the shelter. I work very hard to get them out and socialize them and a lot of money goes into their care and well being.
