Pit Bull Rescue San Diego is devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming pit bulls in San Diego area shelters and educating the public on responsible pet ownership.
We are a 100% volunteer run, foster-based non-profit organization. We do not have a facility as our goal is to have the pit bulls that are in our program live in homes to best determine their fit for future adoption and provide us with the best opportunities to help them be good house pets.
Foster parents open their homes to the dogs we save. They care for them as their own and give them a temporary home while we look for their forever homes.
Our volunteers are the life-blood of our rescue. They do everything from training to transport to events and puppy socialization.
Donating isn't all about money, although money definitely helps! You can donate any of the things that a dog needs day to day - beds, food, toys, treats, leashes, collars... See our Wish List of items we can use. You can also donate a car, boat, jetski, even an airplane to benefit pits.
Once a dog is in our rescue, it is our faithful monthly donors who sponsor our dogs to help us care for that dog's expenses until they are adopted. It is only when we are sure that the dogs in our charge are well cared for that we can help other dogs that need to be brought into the program.

We are so blessed to have an organization like Petfinder.com to help give our adoptables exposure. Please take a moment to browse through our adoptables list and find the forever friend you've been looking for.
