The BCSPCA Prince Rupert branch is overflowing with cats. If you have a loving home and wish to share it by becoming a foster home please contact our shelter @ (250) 624-2859. Fostering is only on a 2 week basis per animal.

We are the Prince Rupert SPCA. We look after animals from Prince Rupert and the surrounding villages. We try very hard to control the unwanted pet population in this area by spaying and neutering all the animals that are adopted from our shelter.
If you find you are interested in one of our cute fuzzy friends call us and we will fax or e-mail you a adoption aplication to be sure you are the right parent for our pet.
Our prices for adoption are as follows:
Dogs - $160.00
Cats - $100.00 males, $115 females
The Adoption Prices Include
1st Vaccination
Spaying/Neutering
1 Free Vet Visit
30 Days of Free Pet Insurance
Please note that all animals adopted from the BCSPCA Adoption Shelter must be spayed/neutered before being taken home.
Puppies and kittens too young to be neutered or spayed (6 months of age), are not always approved for out-of-town adoptions. If you are interested in adopting a puppy/kitten, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the terms of adoption with you.
If for some reason, after adopting an animal from the SPCA you have to give it up, it must be returned to the SPCA, or we must be advised where the animal's new home will be.

On a note, we wanted to let everyone know that the BCSPCA will be launching an online store! It will feature such items like travel mugs, fleece blankets, umbrellas, t-shirts etc.
The starting date is November 1st, 2006.
You will be able to reach the site by just going to www.bcspca.ca
Of course, all proceeds will be used to help BCSPCA shelters, and support such organizations as the BCSPCA Biscuit Fund, that helps injured rescued animals. It's truly a great cause! If you are an animal lover, please check it out!
