Who We Are
The Queen Charlotte Islands branch of the SPCA is staffed entirely by volunteers, and you can be one too! Call and express your interest, and we will find a way for you to help out. Some options are: socializing with cats and dogs, caring for the animals, dog walking and training, fundraising, humane education, being a foster parent.

Adopting a friend
If you are seriously searching for a pet to adopt, please call and tell us what you are looking for. We can keep your request on file, and call you as soon as we have an animal who meets your requirements. For example, we often keep a list of people waiting for small dogs or puppies. Even better, fill out an adoption questionnaire (available for dogs only at the moment) and you will be moved to the top of the waiting list.

Adopting from Elsewhere
We are adopting many animals to homes far from the Queen Charlotte Islands, we welcome inquiries. Be prepared to answer some questions from us as we attempt to match you with an appropriate pet. Transportation costs are the responsibility of the adopter. It is easiest for us to fly animals to Vancouver or Prince Rupert, and adopters will probably need to be able to pick up their new pet at one of these locations. Email us for more information.
