Our dogs are superstars! Be sure to check out the new Shaw Cable Channel 10 TV program - featuring weekly pet tips, expert advice and of course, all of the dogs currently available for adoption. Does your dog know any cool tricks? We are looking for footage of great dog tricks to show on our Cable 10 program. Give us a call at the shelter for more details.
Who We Are
We are a municpally run animal control shelter. Our services include: animal control enforcement, licensing, a lost and found service, impounds and adoptions. Please note that we are a dog-only facility. For cats, contact the Squamish SPCA at 604-898-9890.
Adopting a friend
Our goal is to match each dog with the home best suited for their needs. Come on down to the shelter and let us know what you are looking for; we just may have the perfect match. All prospective adopters must come to the shelter to meet the dogs and staff. We do not "ship" dogs to people we have not met.
Volunteer Dog Walking
Not ready for the responsibility, but looking for all the fun? We can help you with that too! We are open for volunteer dog walking 364 days per year. If you are over 18 years of age bring yourself, a current drivers licence, and a good pair of walking shoes to the shelter and we will supply the rest. Warning: Volunteer dog walking is a highly addictive pastime. Some volunteers report side-effects such as: higher energy levels, an inability to notice white dog hair on black pants, toned muscles, a new enthusiasm for life and a deep sense of satisfaction at providing a homeless dog with daily happiness. You have been warned.

We are open to the public from 9 am - 3 pm Monday to Friday, and 10 am - 2 pm Saturday, Sunday and holidays. We are located at 39903 Governement Rd. in Squamish. Please call for further directions if you are coming from out of town. 604-815-6866
