C.A.R.E.S.S. is delighted and honoured to be part of the Petfinder network of individuals, groups, and shelters devoted to animal rescue, fostering, rehoming and welfare/advocacy!
Who We Are
C.A.R.E.S.S. is a non-profit society dedicated to the rehoming of any companion animal of good temperament and reasonable health. We provide whatever assistance possible to ensure that each adopted animal is placed with loving, responsible people.
Adopting a friend
Adopting a companion animal is a serious committment. We strive to assist people in choosing the best-suited animal to become members of their home in order to foster a lifelong, well-adjusted and rewarding relationship.
This involves careful screening of potential owners/ guardians, including a possible home assessment. Upon adoption, the owner/ guardian signs an adoption contract that assures the companion animal will be well-cared for in the new home. The contract also guarantees the animal will be returned to C.A.R.E.S.S. if the owner/guardian can no longer keep him/her. Our adoption fees help pay for the feeding, care, and spay/neutering of our animals (usual adoption fee $200CDN).

We are not a shelter but a network of volunteers who provide adoption and foster services for rehoming companion dogs and cats.
